After years of sculpting and metal work, artist Thomas Dugan Wilson made his first Wilson Cup for the jockeys at Hardscuffle Steeplechase in 1978. Since then, these iconic pieces have continued to be hand-made by the Wilson family in Louisville, Kentucky.
Each piece is formed in copper and coated in silver, hand signed and dated with the recognizable triangle representing the continuation of the Wilson family tradition. Adorning the side of the cup are the Pappy keys, which symbolize the 5 steps to making bourbon and the "key to hospitality" adage that brings these two family-centric businesses together into one beautiful vessel that will be passed down from generation to generation.
This 10-oz. julep cup is the larger of the two Wilson cups that we offer, in addition to a 2-oz. jigger.
