On Giving Tuesday, a global day of Giving, we honor the legacy of Pappy Van Winkle through 

Pappy & Company's  Bourbon for Good™ Mission

Thanksgiving kicks off the Holiday season with a welcome day of appreciation, gratitude, and togetherness. It also kicks off a season of gifting. Yet amid all this gifting and gathering, we pause for a brief moment of Giving. A moment that is now globally recognized as Giving Tuesday. 

As giftinghappens to be our love language, we embrace the season of giftingas an opportunity to show and share appreciation with our friends and family. So much so that gifting was one of the primary inspirations behind our founding of Pappy & Company. We designed and crafted collections of gifts that highlight and share our great-grandfather’s legacyand celebrate our shared heritageof hospitality.

Equally as important to the pillarsof Pappy & Company is our legacy of philanthropy. Pappy Van Winkle’s legacy of bourbon, hospitality, craftsmanship, and dedication also encompasses a legacy of giving back and supporting our community. We are incredibly honored to preserve the underlying promise of philanthropy and community support so integral to our great-grandfathers' overall personal and professional ethos. 

So much so that we wove it into our business model, ensuring that it would remain essential to Pappy & Company’s mission and vision. Early on, it led us to have a conversation with one simple question. Was it possible to somehow embrace the passion behind the demand for our family’s bourbon and convert that energy into support for our community? 

What we saw was a demand for a product in short supply, and what we knew we had was an opportunity. With uniquely positioned access to our family’s personal collection, we decided to try something. Offering a coveted bottle, so difficult to obtain, through a sweepstakes with the goal of raising critical funds to give back to our community. 

That experiment was the beginning of what has become the foundation of our philanthropic mission, Bourbon for Good™ . An idea that started small and has continued to grow, while our commitment to giving back to our community has never wavered. 

Bourbon for Good began with a small, localized effort, working with a few organizations with whom we had personal connections. Yet once we realized we could expand our reach and consolidate our efforts, we solidified the mission of Bourbon for Good™  and organized our pillars of community support. 

We now host four annual Bourbon for Good™ Sweepstakes, rotating our efforts among a variety of philanthropic goals. Amongst those have been a constant support for Veterans in honor of our grandfather’s military service, support for our community’s efforts to end hunger and food insecurity, support for the fight to find a cure for ALS, and support for a variety of immediate needs due to catastrophic global weather and humanitarian causes. 

Throughout 2025, we were honored to support four vital community resources with ties
that are near and dear to our hearts, our heritage, our hometowns, and our mission:
 SoCal Fire Fund, to support vulnerable communities in the
 Los Angeles area recovering from the devastating fires. 
 The Headstrong Project, a nonprofit dedicated to providing
mental health treatment and resources for veterans.
 Apron, Inc.,a nonprofit that provides temporary, limited financial
relief to professional food and beverage workers in Louisville. 
 As usual, our final Bourbon for Good™  Sweepstakes,
held in the buildup to a holiday season when we focus on feasting and celebrating,
was dedicated to Dare to Care’sefforts to eliminate hunger in our hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. 

For us, Giving Tuesdayoffers an opportunity to highlight and reinforce our commitment to philanthropy and sustainability. We hope you join us on Giving Tuesday, during this important pause in the rush and excitement, as we celebrate the bounty of the holiday season, to give thanks, and to give back.
