In partnership with another family-owned business (and our friends), Midland Ghost, we've created an exclusive hot sauce. Made with their famous, locally grown, first-generation Ghost Peppers and aged in our bourbon barrels for a rich, smoky, oaky heat. We mellow out the heat of the ghost peppers by adding some mild red peppers to the mix. The result is the perfect blend that makes this a smoky pepper sauce you can add a dash to just about anything from meats and vegetables to Bloody Mary cocktails.

The Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Barrel Aged Pepper Sauce was given to two friends for Christmas - both of them have come to me and raved about how fantastic this sauce is on anything they have used it to spice. They say it is the perfect blend, not to spicy but very flavorful. Now I have to buy one for me and I don't even cook - oh, maybe they'll cook for me? Sounds better!
The flavor of the sauce is actually quite good. The problem is a sauce that claims to be made from ghost peppers should be quite hot. Quite frankly Tabasco is hotter. Again I really enjoyed the flavor just wish there was A LOT more heat

I purchased this hot sauce for my husband for Christmas and he was excited to try it. It has a nice spice taste but when it says it’s made with ghost peppers you expect mouth breathing hot and it’s not.
When I purchased this for my husband, I was a little worried about the heat level - but it’s great. Adding that hint of bourbon, it’s even better.
