Short and fat, Robusto cigars are one of the most popular violas on the market and can easily be enjoyed in under an hour. And while the burn isn’t as long as a Churchill or Toro, the larger ring gauge ensures a smoke that’s every bit as flavorful and complex. Thanks to our unique barrel fermentation process, where bundles of Kentucky fire-cured tobacco are soaked in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels for 12 to 18 months, Pappy & Company’s premium barrel-fermented cigars, which are hand-rolled by the artisans at Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, feature a unique bourbon-influenced flavor profile and aroma. The strength level of this sophisticated cigar collection, which comes in two additional vitolas, is “Medium Plus.” In other words, it can be enjoyed by both new smokers and longtime fans. Pappy & Company pro tip: Pair it with spicier spirits such as rye.
The passion project of two college buddies from New York (Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel), Drew Estates, based in Esteli, Nicaragua, is the result of decades of hardwork and a commitment to rolling some of the finest cigars you can find. They’re also deeply committed to supporting the people who work for them, creating an inspiring art-filled workspace and providing both healthcare and reliable transportation.
Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.
How quickly your cigars will dry out depends on the humidity in the air. More humid climates are better for cigars. In general, you should store cigars in a humidor or airtight bag as soon as your shipment arrives. Due to inconsistent shipping climates, it is important to give your cigars a few days to rehydrate before enjoying one. If you don't have a humidor we suggest putting the cigars in a plastic food storage bag or container. For every 25 cigars stored, put a damp sponge or paper towel in the bag or container. Store the bag on a shelf or in a closet. If you don't have a humidor, we suggest purchasing one of our Boveda humidor bags or one of our 2-way humidity control packs designed to keep your cigars at the ideal humidity. They are available for purchase on our website. Please note: Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink-wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.
When you purchase any three boxes of Tradition and/or Barrel Fermented Cigars in our Churchill, Toro or Robusto sizes, you will receive our Limitada 3-Pack as a complimentary gift with purchase. The Limitada 3-Pack offers a trio of smaller cigars that are very similar to our Flying Pig in size, measuring 4 7/8 inches by 60-ring gauge. Blended with two wrappers, known as “tapa negra” , this Limitada 3-Pack is the ideal way to sample our Barrel-Fermented blend in a smaller 3-pack size. Please note this offer does not apply to our Limited Release cigars.

Pappy Van Winkle Barrel Fermented Cigars (Robusto Size Box of 10)
So I bought a box of robusto for the first time. My dad and wanted to try them for I gave him 5 for his birthday. He asked are they good and I told him they are one of the best cigars I have had we will be buy a lot more now
I've never had the opportunity to sample the drink but I'm well aware of the notoriety. A family member bought one of these for me for Christmas. I thought it was novelty stick like you see so often but i was absolutely blown away by how tasty this cigar is. Typically a Padron 1926 series fan but this tops all but Monte Cristo (Cuban). I will definitely be buying these by the box going forward. Taste strong notes of leather and wood, you can really taste the barrels these were fermented in. Thank you!
The cigars were a wonderful surprise in regards to the flavor. Very even and long smoke. Some day I'll be lucky enough to buy a bottle of Pappy and enjoy the perfect evening!
I have smoked premium cigars for 55 years this year. I rank this one as the best by just an edge in my top 3 cigars. Monte number 2 (cuba) and Padron 1926. I have many other cigars that I enjoy as well. I hope Pappy keeps up the good work. This cigar is very unique to say the least. I love it.
