If you've tasted our family's famed Old Rip Van Winkle bourbons, you know that we wouldn't put our names on anything but the best. Our Tradition collection, which includes a trio of hand-rolled vitolas, reflects the Van Winkle family’s enduring commitment to excellence. The result of a fruitful collaboration between the talented team at Drew Estate in Estelí, Nicaragua, and Pappy & Company, this unique blend was personally chosen by our father Julian Van Winkle. The combination of an oily Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, an Indonesian binder, and a blend of aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long-fillers makes for a fragrant, full-bodied smoke with top notes of chocolate, earth, and leather. Undertones of raw cocoa, cashews, and sweet tobacco create balance and complexity . Longer and more robust than both the Toro and Robusto vitolas, Churchill cigars—seven-inches with a ring gauge of forty eight—are as bold as the statesman they were named after. The British Prime Minister famously smoked as many as ten of these beauties a day; not a practice we’d suggest you emulate however much you might be tempted.
The passion project of two college buddies from New York (Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel), Drew Estates, based in Esteli, Nicaragua, is the result of decades of hardwork and a commitment to rolling some of the finest cigars you can find. They’re also deeply committed to supporting the people who work for them, creating an inspiring art-filled workspace and providing both healthcare and reliable transportation.
Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.
How quickly your cigars will dry out depends on the humidity in the air. More humid climates are better for cigars. In general, you should store cigars in a humidor or airtight bag as soon as your shipment arrives. Due to inconsistent shipping climates, it is important to give your cigars a few days to rehydrate before enjoying one. If you don't have a humidor we suggest putting the cigars in a plastic food storage bag or container. For every 25 cigars stored, put a damp sponge or paper towel in the bag or container. Store the bag on a shelf or in a closet. If you don't have a humidor, we suggest purchasing one of our Boveda humidor bags or one of our 2-way humidity control packs designed to keep your cigars at the ideal humidity. They are available for purchase on our website. Please note: Our cigars arrive sealed and shrink-wrapped in cellophane. We are unable to accept returns on opened boxes.

86 years old retired Air Force-best cigar-traditional Churchill-that I can remember
These cigars arrived and the presentation was beautiful. I purchased them to celebrate arrival of my son and was not disappointed! Great smoke for a once in a lifetime occasion!
I have a cigar fan neighbor who plants surprises for me on my patio. I decided to get him cigars and a cigar glass as a surprise for him. Needless to say he was surprised and elated.
