It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our friend, Lara MacGregor, whose inspiring battle with metastatic breast cancer has come to an end. Throughout her journey, she sought, and succeeded, to inspire many– she founded Hope Scarves and the Lara MacGregor Metastatic Breast Cancer Research Fund to encourage and provide support to others enduring this cruel disease. Lara’s outreach transcended this noble cause as she inspired each of us to live every day to the fullest, love our people, and not take anything for granted. She reminded us to find joy in the mundane. Find peace and appreciation for the daily stresses– being grateful to be able to clean up our children’s messes, appreciation for the piles of laundry that we get to do, and that I am able to bicker with my sixth grader about homework. Given her reality, she had a deeper appreciation for life, a deeper appreciation for her friends and family, and a deeper commitment to being the best version of herself. All of which we had the honor of experiencing through her forthright and insightful lens. 

So, as we are inspired by the notion that this life (and all that comes with it) is a privilege, we felt that it is important and timely to give back to her organization.
