Old Rip Van Winkle Decanter & Set of 2 Rocks Glasses
Before creating the Old Rip Van Winkle label, our grandfather, Julian Jr., formed a company called J.P. Van Winkle and Son, and he began marketing bourbon through creative ventures such as commemorative decanters. The most popular designs were often etched with the names or emblems of universities and given as gifts.
This beautiful 3-piece home bar set is a tribute to that part of our bourbon heritage and includes one 26-ounce bourbon decanter and a set of two 10-ounce rocks glasses, all etched with the classic Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery logo. The set still makes a great gift, and thanks to the versatile shape of both the decanter and glasses, it works for whiskey and wine lovers alike.

I love the quality and looks. Only issue that may not be an issue, I’m unsure, is that the top doesn’t seal completely. You can see where the glass is touching probably 90-95% of the way around but there is an opening and thinking oxygen getting in there can affect the bourbon.
I’ve been wanting this decanter for awhile and hoping one day I could fill it with Pappy. It looks classy and I have already started to utilize it by filling it with a mixture of Weller 12 and Weller 107. I’m looking forward to sharing with my friends.
I love the ORVW decanter! I was pleasantry surprised by the weight, very heavy, and overall solid feel. The top seems to be airtight. It’s very handsome and looks nice on the bar. The two glasses are nice, engraved, as is the decanter, and fit the hand nicely….tho they have yet to hold a cocktail.
If you are looking for a unique gift, this is it! Well worth the price & a good conversation starter…and Old Pappy resting place!

The decanter is very heavy which is a plus! I wish there was a crystal set option like the other Buffalo Trace decanter and glass sets but it is very nice for the price.
