I buy this coffee for my grandson, a professor at a California university. He keeps his coffee brewer and Pappy coffee in his office and says the aroma when brewing is driving the staff mad! I
CAN comment personally for the outstanding customer service personnel at the Louisville operation. Kindness is still a great asset!
I'm very happy with this purchase, I discovered them in the most recent issue of Whiskey Advocate magazine and the description they wrote made me immediately go to the site to buy a bag.
This is honestly one of the best bags of coffee I've ever tasted. The barrel is not very prevalent but compliments the already smooth and aromatic coffee beans. I bought 5 bags of which 3 were gifts and all recipients have complimented the aroma as being "unreal" and the taste as the smoothest cup of coffee they've ever tasted. From the minute I opened the box I was punched with an intense woody and coffee smell and the coffee has an incredible smooth flavor that includes notes of honey, dark fruit, and vanilla. Also, the price point is cheaper than other BA coffee beans on the market with these being aged in some of the most coveted bourbon barrels, there is nothing on the market that compares to this product. Purchase with confidence that this will be one of the best cups of coffee you will ever taste.
This is the best coffee I have found to date. The whisky taste complements rather than overwhelms the coffee taste.
At first I was sceptical, that the combination of bourbon barrel ageing would really match roasted coffee. Especially since fresh roasted coffee should usually be consumed 2-4 weeks after roasting.
Boy was I wrong!
I used these beans in a portafilter machine with a lever (La San Marco), finely ground and firmly tampered, and it works almost magical. Alongside the Guatemala Beans with medium acidity the Bourbon Taste kicks in almost immediately.
This is one dense flavourful coffee with massive Bourbon Barrel Taste.
Thanks for inventing this Product!
The woody notes on this coffee are amazing and unlike anything I have had before. I’ve had coffee fresh from a Hawaiian coffee farm and while this isn’t better than that I would put them side by side.
