Partner Spotlight: Smathers & Branson, from Bethesda, Maryland

We first connected with Smathers & Branson at a trade show in Atlanta. Like many great entrepreneurial starts, Smathers and Branson started with two roommates back in 2004 who saw a market need and passion to pursue. Co-founders Peter and Austin started with needlepoint belts when they received these as gifts and became intrigued with these unique accessories. After looking to buy finished belts, they soon realized that there wasn’t a company that featured these timeless items. With a shared entrepreneurial spirit and discovering a concept they were passionate about, they started working on the idea that has since become Smathers & Branson.

Similar to Pappy & Company, the good folks at Smathers & Branson are committed to finding trained skilled artisans who meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The foundation of Smathers and Branson is built on modesty, hard work, and perseverance and their mantra is "to offer the finest products with customer service to match." And we couldn’t agree more. Here at Pappy & Company we believe our products are only as good as the people that sell them and thanks to our in house customer service experts we have a team dedicated to make every transaction a positive one with us.

Peter and Austin have found a way to tie their personal passions to a business venture, and have had fun helping us create these bourbon-inspired products from belts and hats to headcovers and keychains. This fall, they are launching their first line of needlepoint valet trays and have already drummed ideas of a Pappy inspired needlepoint tray that would make a great addition to any home, bar, or man cave!
