Having spent years as a barrel holding Pappy Van Winkle bourbon, this premium wood will enhance your food with our signature Pappy flavor and sweet oak smoke.

Use for shorter cook times or as a fragrant finisher. For longer cook times, combine with other smoking woods to stabilize the heat. Try the wood chunks dry, or soak them in bourbon, juice or water to create steam, if desired. Whichever way you use them, it's going to be delicious.

Amazing smoking chunks!

These chunks are some of the best we have tried. My husband loves the aroma of these chunks right out of the bag, and the flavor they infuse into various meats he has used them to smoke. One of my favorites has been smoked salmon, with a maple syrup glaze using the Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup - sooooo good! These chunks are huge and last a long time - 5lbs and easy to cut to size if we need a smaller portion.

Barrel Staves

I used the barrel staves on my gas grill to cook swordfish and skirt steak at a high temp. and they tasted great. I used just one stave and it really made a difference. Highly recommended.
