This was a promotion with cigars. Good idea, needs some intervention with whomever really manufactures it.
The gasket sealing the case wasn’t fully seated. As a result, the tabs can’t close well and fall off. All this is (mostly, usually) fixable….but why?
And the unit doesn’t sit flat, it rocks, kind of annoying.

If they snap off with your first use, simply slide them back on and snap shut to ensure they maintain their tight seal for humidity control and travel.
