Growing up, waffles trumped pancakes at our house, and when it came to syrup, our mom always served real-deal pure maple syrup over the sticky sweet grocery store variety. It was a beloved household staple and a natural fit when we first introduced pantry items to the Pappy & Company line. Produced by our friends at Bissell Maple Farm in Jefferson, Ohio, this extra-special maple syrup is aged in 10-to-20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels immediately after they’re dumped for bottling at the distillery, which lends this pure maple syrup a unique depth of flavor with rich bourbon-like notes of vanilla, caramel, butter, and oak.
