Bourbon Balls were the very first product we introduced from our Pappy & Company gourmet collection, and for good reason. Not only are they a Van Winkle Family favorite, but they are an iconic representation of bourbon history, lore, and legend. Dreamt up in the Louisville, Kentucky, kitchen of Ruth Hanley Booe (of famed confectionery, Rebecca Ruth Candy) in 1938, they quickly became a Christmas tradition in the South. Fortunately for fans of these little bites of bliss, they are no longer relegated to one season (however, they do remain our most gifted holiday treat).
A creamy, delicious combination of chocolate, bourbon, and pecans, Bourbon Balls are a Kentucky classic and a beloved sweet treat tradition. Handmade in partnership with Louisville, Kentucky, bakery The Whisk House, following our carefully taste-tested recipe, our Pappy & Company Bourbon Balls have the unique distinction of being made with our family’s Old Rip Van Winkle 10-Year.
For peak flavor, enjoy these delicious treats at room temperature. Available in a giftable and shareable pack of 12 or pack of 4, with a word to the wise: make sure to grab a box for yourself as well. We had to learn this the hard way.

I was introduced to bourbon balls while traveling through Kentucky-found out they were a favorite of my grandfather. These brought back a lot of memories…. When in stock, grab some! I bought some as a gift and some for myself!!
Hello. Won a bottle on VW , glass, book and Bourbon Balls. We were so excited about the win. Unfortunately the 12 pack bourbon balls were not edible, hard as a rock.

Very, very surgery and sweet to the point it’s hard to taste the Pappy’s.
Maybe I wasn’t aware of what to expect, but while the bourbon cream interior had a lovely flavor, it also had a really grainy center, as if it was heated too long and the sugar crystallized. This created an off-putting texture that detracted from the delicious chocolate and perfect pecan top. Is it possible we got a bad batch?

First time trying these. I originally bought for multiple people in my circle for holiday gifts and they gave amazing reviews. So much so, I went and got my own. They were literally amazing bourbon balls! Everyone loves themselves. I'm awaiting for Christmas eve and day to share more with lily and friends. Love them! Will purchase again!

I am normally a Sees candy girl. I love a few pieces of candy on Christmas morning. These bourbon balls have stolen Sees’ seat at the Christmas coffee table. They are scrumptious. Not for kids, maybe, unless you don’t mind your thirteen year old having a slight buzz because these definitely are boozy-but not the bad kind-the Pappy kind, and we all want to feel that buzz!!! I purchased three boxes of these to give as gifts, and ate all three boxes. Don’t judge until you try them yourself.
