Bourbon Balls were the very first product we introduced from our Pappy & Company gourmet collection, and for good reason. Not only are they a Van Winkle Family favorite, but they are an iconic representation of bourbon history, lore, and legend. Dreamt up in the Louisville, Kentucky, kitchen of Ruth Hanley Booe (of famed confectionery, Rebecca Ruth Candy) in 1938, they quickly became a Christmas tradition in the South. Fortunately for fans of these little bites of bliss, they are no longer relegated to one season (however, they do remain our most gifted holiday treat).

A creamy, delicious combination of chocolate, bourbon, and pecans, Bourbon Balls are a Kentucky classic and a beloved sweet treat tradition. Handmade in partnership with Louisville, Kentucky, bakery The Whisk House, following our carefully taste-tested recipe, our Pappy & Company Bourbon Balls have the unique distinction of being made with our family’s Old Rip Van Winkle 10-Year.
