For us, warmer weather has always been synonymous with grilling and cook-outs. We love nothing more than gathering together on a perfect night, with family, good friends, good food and of course, good cocktails!
As we start to head into Official Grilling Season, ribs with homemade Pappy & Company Barbecue sauce have always been one of our favorites. They are a messy family go-to dinner and our mouths are already watering in anticipation!
Our Pappy & Company Barbecue sauce is one of the many ways we have found to use our Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup and Barrel-aged Pepper Sauce . They are a flavorful addition to some of our favorite marinades and sauces that are so versatile they work with just about anything you could want to grill! We are excited to share with you a few of our go-to marinades for grilling - for ribs, chicken, pork tenderloin, salmon, and more - that are perfect for summer, but so good you’ll use them all year. So tuck in those napkins, fire up those grills, and have fun cooking!
Ribs with Pappy & Company Barbecue Sauce:
For the Ribs:
- 4 racks of Ribs
- Seasoning salt
For the Pappy & Company Barbecue Sauce:
- 1 tspof olive oil to sauté onions
- 1/4 cup find diced yellow onion
- 1 cup water
- 3 tsps ofPappy & Company Barrel Aged Pepper Sauce
- 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ofPappy & Company Bourbon Barrel Aged Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 1/2 cups of ketchup
- 2 tsps of mustard powder
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 tsps of fresh cracked black pepper
- 2 ttsps of kosher salt
- Half tsp of cumin
Pat Ribs dry, sprinkle with seasoning salt and Either smoke at 250 for 6 hours or you can put in the oven tightly wrapped in foil (on a baking sheet) and bake at 275 for 3-4 hours (until the meat falls off the bone). Finish on the grill with Pappy & Company BBQ Sauce. Can marinate until ready to grill or brush on several times while grilling to heat through and crisp up.
Pappy & Company Marinade
Perfect for meat, especially pork tenderloin or chicken
- 1 1/2 tbsps Pappy & Company Maple Syrup
- 1 tbsp Minced Shallot
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp whole grain mustard or dijon
- 1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 clove chopped garlic
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- large pinch salt
Add all ingredients except the olive oil to a jar and shake vigorously. Then add olive oil and shake again until well combined. Use this marinade on your favorite grilling option and cook to your enjoyment!
Pappy & Company Marinade
Perfect for Salmon, or for a flavorful vegetarian option - use for grilled tofu or cauliflower!
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/8 cup Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
- 1/2-1 tsp minced garlic
Optional additions: Pappy & Company Pepper Sauce, Sriracha, or red pepper flakes, ginger, orange juice.
Whisk together ingredients and use as a marinade for cooking and/or drizzle on after grilling for extra flavor.
